production blog-filming part 1

 We started to film today the music video today. After school my group and I went to this  local coffee called alchemist, we order our food and went on our way. The first scene we shot was my partner Natalie O (who is playing the boy robber), and I sitting down at a table laughing  and having a good time while our other partner filmed up from the back, around the table, and to the front. While at the front you see me as the girl robber mouth "I have to use the bathroom", then I get up with 2 "money bags" and leave the shot. It took about 5 times to get this shot right, this represents the bar scene in our story, storyboard panel 2 and 3. The next scene we did was a shot of me as the girl robber calling 911 as an over-the-shoulder shot based off of the storyboard panel 4. It only took 2 tries, as it was the easiest shot to film in the whole music video. After that we shot the "flashback scene". In this scene based off storyboard panel 5, we see the boy robber having lunch with another girl who is not his girlfriend. I am holding the camera walking towards them, to imitate if it was me seeing them. This one took about 4 times to film. Then Reagan who plays "the other women" takes the phone and films my reaction of seeing my boyfriend cheat as I clutch down behind some bushes so they don't see me. This was referring to storyboard panel 6 and it only took 3 times. As a new scene it shows me (the girlfriend) sitting down at a table spying on the boyfriend and the other women, hiding behind a menu with sunglass on. This was storyboard number 7 and it took 4 tries. When we were done with all of though scenes we went to a different part of the coffee shop and starting shooting the bank scene, which was panel 1 on the storyboard. For the bank scene we put the money bags on a table and had the boy robber and I (the girl robber) come in from each side and grab everything off the table, to make it looking like were stealing. Raegan film this by going forward with the camera into a hole in the wall, where you see me and Natalie taking the money. This was the hardest part to film because it was windy and keep falling, we tried a few different ways to film this before we landed on the finally shot, and it took almost 10 to finally get it right. When that was over we went back the place we were and realized we still had to 2 more scenes, but we had to do it fast because Natalie had to leave a little early, so we quickly shot the boyfriend getting arrested. Reagan played the cop by wearing a hoodie and took a hair-tie as handcuffs because it was all we had. That was from panel 11 on the storyboard and took about 3 takes. Natalie had to leave after that but it was ok because we finished with her scenes. The last scene we shot was an extension of panel 4 from the storyboard, and it just showed me saying "He's in here" to 911. It took 2 tries and we were done. That was a wrap on shooting day one.
