Midterm blog

To film this trailer like we wish my partner, Reagan, and I have to film these shots at several locations. For example, for the scene in Hazel's room where the two girls are developing their "kill list" we plan to use Hayley's room. We will also be using the bulletin board in her room as a prop to make the revenge board. For the scene where Matt Brown is being shoved into the pool, we plan to use Hayley's pool in her backyard. For the scene where Jessica is getting shoved into the road, we plan to safely use the street in her neighborhood. Other scenes such as Aaron walking alone and being followed will also be shot in the same neighborhood. However, for the first opening scene, it is not known specifically where we can shoot this. As time gets closer and we begin production, hopefully this issue will be resolved. The safety of the film is our top priority. Since, there are a lot of death scenes and dangerous stunts that need to be preformed, we are planning to

Title design

Image
  • The opening credits of our film will be in the "Viner Hand ITC" font and all would slowly fade in and out of the screen in coordinating corners every 2 to 3 seconds. • These will all be typed. • Depending on what is on the screen, these titles would either be black or white so the audience would be able to see it. • The title of our film will appear in the "Chiller" font that would be seen to be "typed" into the center of the screen. • The title would be "AN EYE FOR AN EYE" in all capital letters and in bold. • The color would also be in dark red. The Chiller in dark red coloring for the title will help show and exude the creepiness of the thriller film. • The final title will appear at the end of the trailer and then the screen will go black to represent the ending.

Title research: guardians of the galaxy vol 2

Image
What titles are displayed? To begin with, the first title to be shown was the title of the movie in very big, bold words. Then the scene continues as the names of the main characters are shown one by one. After the main characters were shown, the actors with the more smaller roles appeared on screen. Finally, after the cast, came the casting director, the associate producer, the music supervisor, the visual effects supervisor, the costume designer, the editors, and any other main roles in the production of the movie. Finally, the executive producers are given one by one and the writer of the movie is shown. What images are prioritized? Mainly, during this opening sequence, the audience is shown all of the main characters in the group fighting off an alien and projecting what most of the movie will be. How does this establish the feeling of the genre? This opening sequence left people on the edge of their seats while the characters fought a huge, intimidating alien. It really made all

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
While searching for a website for this project, I came across Art of the Title. When I came upon this, I was very intrigued. Compared to all the other sources I tried looking at prior, this one showed a wide spectrum of titles and movies. This website was also shown to be visually appealing, making me more interested. Further looking into the website, I began to click on the top movies shown. When I did this, the source instantly sent me to another page where it told me all of the known information on each movie. This included all of the directors, such as the art, designer, and film directors. Some of the movies that were clicked on also had interviews with the people involved in creating the movie. Overall, this website was very in depth with its research. In my opinion, the thing that put it over the top in the end, was the visual appeals and aesthetic of it all.
