Research for music video

When researching and analyzing the different music video in relation to our genre of music there are various convections that stood out. As mentioned the song all of us came up with to use for this project Getaway Car by Taylor Swift. The genre is pop, in which there are music videos of songs such as Drivers License and Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo. These give us a good insight into how in that category the specific usages of breaking the forth wall in the music videos. Using a lot of tracking and over the shoulders shots as well. In this specific genre of music we need to be drawn to the artist or what the artist is trying to explaining. Almost if not every lyric should be able to match part of the song, a visual representation. It can be as simple as a prop that correlates to the main part of the song, a specific costume that shows value to the character or the makeup that can really capture the emotion the person is trying to showcase. Group blog: Music video

The people I chose to work with was Natalie Obando and Reagan Haskell. I chose to work with them because we all get along really well and we have been friends for a little bit.  Natalie and I have known each other since 2021. However, we stated to become friends when we were put in the same class for aice marine science class last year. Our friendship grew a lot to the point where we were going out to concerts and hockey games together.  Reagan and I have also know each other since freshman year. We started to get close this year because of this class. I am so happy we did get close because Reagan is an great person and amazing friend. We all like the singer Taylor Swift, as we all went to her concert earlier this year. Because of that, we designed to do the song "Getaway Car" by Taylor Swift.
